Outdoors

After lunch

Students head outside. “We’ll be outside at least half a day every day.”

Christian curriculum

Faith

The school will use a Christian curriculum, in a family-oriented environment.

Community

Appalachian traditions

Community members have offered to volunteer teaching skills like canning and other Appalachian traditions.

Teacher

Erin Miller

19 years of experience with Morgan County Schools. “I just enjoy the small family closeness of those schools.”

Teacher

Olivia Nelson

Will teach the youngest grades. “I just want it to be very informal, and to show there’s more than just reading, writing, arithmetic that make people smart.”

I don’t want the school desk. I want a dining room table. We all sit together, we all work together, the older kids helping the younger kids.
